## Minecraft Monday #33: The Final Countdown

12:35 PM

It's been such a fun year so far, but as with all good things, Minecraft Mondays is coming to an end! It's Week 33, and this week will be the final three extra block tutorials. But my son says there are millions of things you could make blocks from in Minecraft, and has suggested that if we randomly come up with another one in the future, we can just call it the "Minecraft Minute". And make it a one time thing, or random single block feature. He's got a good creative head on his shoulders, that one. ;)

Thank you so very much to all of you for following and sewing along on this epic 10th birthday quilt journey! :D And to the Mini Mr. for helping to come up with so many extra blocks for you. At first I was sad that he found out his surprise, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise, as I got to share the process with him and watch him get excited about picking out colors and designing additional blocks! And thanks to @little.emerz and @wisemantammy for sharing some of their extras as well! I can't wait to start setting this quilt together, and putting together a great big show and tell soon with all of your quilts I've seen over on IG. :D

The final extra blocks are the Bat, Herobrine, and Zombie (not to be confused with Zombie Villager, this is just the plain Zombie..?..)

(1) 2 x 10"

(2) 2 x 9 1/2"

(2) 2 x 6 1/2"

(6) 2 x 3 1/2"

(1) 2 x 3 1/2"

(2) 2 x 6 1/2"

(1) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2"

And then you will have a BAT!

For the Zombie you'll need two shades of green and a small bit of black.

(1) 2 x 10 1/2"

(1) 2 x 10 1/2"

(1) 2 x 9 1/2"

(1) 2 x 4"

(2) 2 x 3 1/2"

(2) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2"

(1) 5 x 6 1/2"

(1) 2 x 3 1/2"

And you will have a regular old Zombie! :D

It's Sunday evening as I'm typing this, and I still don't have the heart block from last week stitched, and haven't stitched these three myself, yet, but I'm hoping to get all caught up this week! Last week was the first full week of 'back to school', and we had some other appointments during the week as well, so hardly any sewing went on last week.

Fingers crossed for more sewing this week!

Thanks a million, again, from the bottom of my heart! This has been so much fun!! Can't wait to see more finished quilts!

xoxoxo

I'll try to piece these asap and edit the pictures into this post.

Thanks for visiting! I've been seeing lots of finished quilts over on Instagram. I need to do another show & tell post soon!!

Being gone to my parents for two weeks left me lots to catch up on but we had so much fun! I'm going to post about it soon. I found the coolest thing to giveaway, so there will be a giveaway soon, as soon as I get caught up with everything! :D

Thanks for coming by today!

## Minecraft Quilt Bonus Blocks: TNT & Grass Cubes

12:00 AM

It's week 31 of Minecraft Mondays.. only two more to go after this!

This week's bonus blocks are the TNT & Grass cubes. It was fun to do some non-characters for a change.

First up is the TNT block.

The measurements on this were a little tricky at first, trying to make the letters look right, but keeping it in a 12" block. But it worked out in the end, and it's really not too complicated!

For TNT, you'll need two shades of red, some white and a bit of black.

(1) 1 1/4 x 5"

(3) 1 1/4 x 9 1/2"

(1) 1 1/4 x 12"

(1) 1 1/4 x 12"

This is the one my son asked to be made into a cushion, a CUBE cushion. Which means I'll need 4 of these, and a top and a bottom. Which is a whole other block. But for now I'm just doing one. ;) Let's hope the cube cushion turns out for his birthday!

For the Grass, you'll need two shades of green and two shades of brown. (or more if you want, and have scraps--these are good for scraps!)

(1) 2 x 3 1/2"

(1) 3 1/2 x 8"

(1) 2 x 8"

(1) 2 x 6"

(1) 2 x 3 1/2"

(1) 2 x 5"

(1) 2 x 6"

(1) 3 1/2 x 6"

(1) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2"

(1) 2 x 17 1/2"

(1) 2 x 17 1/2"

Grass! :D

Thanks for popping in, there are only two weeks left of extra blocks. This has been so much fun!

See you next week!
