Pokemon Fridays: Bulbasaur (Block 10)




First off, huge apologies for missing last Friday! It snuck up on me! I still need to get my Pikachu block stitched up, too! Hopefully I'll catch up this next week. Anyhow, here we are on block #10, Bulbasaur



Only two blocks left after this. I can't believe how close we are to being done. Some of you have asked about sashing, and I just haven't had a chance to sit down and get it written out yet. I'll be working on that, too. :) It's pretty straight forward except for centering the logo row.

Here is Bulbasaur:



..a turtle with a tulip on his back? .. I'm not sure. I need to ask my son! He uses seven colors. I'll type the names of the ones I'm using from the bundle, in case you're using the bundle, too.





Bright Turquoise: (background)

(5) 1 1/2" sq.
(5) 1 1/2 x 2 1/2"
(2) 1 1/2 x 3 1/2"
(1) 2 1/2" sq.
(1) 2 1/2 x 3 1/2"
(1) 2 1/2 x 4 1/2"
(1) 2 1/2 x 7 1/2"
(2) 3 1/2 x 4 1/2"
(1) 3 1/2 x 5 1/2"
(1) 4 1/2" sq.
(1) 4 1/2 x 5 1/2"
(1) 6 1/2 x 8 1/2"

Off-White:

(4) 1 1/2" sq.
(1) 1 1/2 x 2 1/2"

Black:

(16) 1 1/2" sq.
(13) 1 1/2 x 2 1/2"
(10) 1 1/2 x 3 1/2"
(2) 1 1/2 x 4 1/2"
(1) 1 1/2 x 7 1/2"

Raspberry: (lighter red)

(1) 1 1/2 x 2 1/2"

Dusk: (darker blue)

(10) 1 1/2 sq.
(2) 1 1/2 x 2 1/2"
(3) 1 1/2 x 3 1/2"
(1) 1 1/2 x 6 1/2"
(2) 2 1/2" sq.

Cornflower: (lighter blue)

(11) 1 1/2" sq.
(1) 1 1/2 x 2 1/2"
(1) 1 1/2 x 3 1/2"
(4) 2 1/2 x 3 1/2"

Kelly Green:

(4) 1 1/2" sq.
(5) 1 1/2 x 2 1/2"
(1) 1 1/2 x 3 1/2"
(2) 2 1/2" sq.
(2) 2 1/2 x 3 1/2"
(1) 3 1/2 x 5 1/2"






As always, stitch each section together according to the small gray arrows first, then according to the numbered arrows, always using scant quarter inch seams. Label and set aside. Happy Stitching!

Stitch your block together as shown below and you should have a 20 1/2" (20" finished) Bulbasaur block! :D
