Someone Turned Five..
Where does the time go?!
I was holding his little hand in the car one day and I got choked up when I looked at his hand gripping my finger, and thought, "I don't ever want to forget this." So I took a photo. And to this day, it is one of my most favorite photos.
Back then:
Now: (on the left, with his buddy from school)
Motherhood: Not for sissies. :o)
Wouldn't trade it for the world. Happy Birthday to my sweet boy!
May we have a moment of silence in remembrance of my last solid night's sleep. ;o) It's true.. once you have a kid, you never sleep as soundly again. I can be in a deep sleep and the sound of little tip toes on the carpet wake me up. ha! Weird.
*Sigh* Make the growing up stop.. or at least slow down, just a little.

You don't get to sleep when you have a dog either but it's when they get old not when they are young! I have been up three times in the night with our old dog, she gets up then gets lost and I can here her banging into things, I get up put her back in her chair (yes she has a chair now..well she is 18.1/2!!) I get back in bed and BANG she has got out and is moving around again. I love her to bits but OMG please please let me have a full nights sleep. Sorry rant over .....it's lack of sleep, it's making me grumpy. Linda x

Awww...happy birthday to your little boy. Time does go by way too fast, my little boy will turn 10 this week and he already outweighs me and is almost taller than me:(

I love that picture and can think of so many moments like that with mine! My heart literally aches when I think how fast they're growing but it's all part of being a mum isn't it. It's so difficult I might just have to have another one to prolong it!!
Happy Birthday to your little guy! Time goes by so quickly - one minute they are such sweet little tots and the next you are sitting in Convocation Hall at University of Toronto crying your eyes out as you watch your young man graduate from university!

the very picture you have posted of your son's small hand is how I measure my girls growing up, I always look at their hands and remember how tiny they were, how they seemed to have no knuckles and how there small tiny fingers curled round my index finger when they slept. Precious memories!

They do grow very quickly. Very very quickly. I wish people would realize that and spend more time with them.
