Still Hexing Along.
8:29 PM
Thanks to everyone who visited from the FNSI. I love visiting the links and seeing what everyone got done and making new blog friends. :o)
I'm still working on these:
Since this is kind of the plan I have for them:
I tried to lay some of them out this afternoon:
Need more of the dark ones.. but that is kind of what I was thinking.. just to have them meander like that, in kind of an ivy type way, from the top right corner to the bottom left corner.
This is the link for printing hexie papers that I found:
Snippets and Blabbery Hexie Templates
These go as small as 3/4 in. but I have been thinking about (gasp!) trying to make a 1/2 in. one. I know, I have the hexie virus pretty bad. I would HAVE NEVER thought I would want to try something so small! But I'm intrigued.. Hmmm.. Hadn't even thought about the possibility until a blog friend mentioned making them 1/2 and even 1/4 inch!! ACK! ;o) Since I have some pretty tiny scraps, I might try the 1/2, but no promises! ha!
I'm also not stuck on the dark brown as the background, that is still not set in stone.. will just have to wait and see I guess. I think I only have maybe a third of what I need, so I will just keep hexing along until I have enough.
*sigh*
Happy Tuesday! :o)

Your hexes look quite nice!!! Keep on hexing!!
Great job! THey tiny ones go faster because they require fewer stitches to sew them together. But I found them harder to handle. Good Luck!
They are looking great! And 1/2" your crazy! :)
Your hexis will look great scattered across the quilt like your picture. I like the way you're doing different sizes. I've made small hexagons but I found they're a bit too fiddly to enjoy as much as the bigger ones.
I really like the colours of your flowers.
good luck with the small ones. I had a friend who made TINY quilts for GDs dolls house beds. Maybe 1/4" they were.
I think that is going to look so nice! You are brave to try the really small hexies. LOL! I'm your newest follower!
I have hexie fever too...and have for a long, long time. I've been thinking of doing some smaller ones, and then diamonds too...beware, it is hard to recover from hexie fever! :) I can't wait to see how small you will actually go.
Oh dear! You have caught that hexie fever! Well, good luck with all your project, looks like you are enjoying it.
Yup, definitely a case of hexitis! They're looking great!
Looking good! I love the meandering! I was thinking they might get swallowed by the brown but I'm stumped to suggest anything else, I'm not much use am I?! Are there any other colours on the hexies that you could pick out?
Great hexies - How many ar you doing - I have been looking for my box of these for ages. Hope to locate them at some stage.
Great hexis they look wonderful!
