Pouch-A-Long Progress & Tidbits of Life
10:00 AM
The past week has been a little hectic. The finishing touches were put on the Pluto costume--some hemming, button closure for the top, mitten paws.. and Voila!
A surprising number of people kept calling him Goofy. I think they need to go to Disney College. ha!
Buster was a hot dog..his first time to trick or treat with us.
My inlaws, some neighbors, and one of A.'s little besties from preschool came over. They were able to trick or treat together for the last half of the block and were so excited to see each other! He was a lollipop kid from the Wizard of Oz..
This all threw me a little behind on the Pouch-A-Long over @ Making Rebecca Lynne. BUT last night, I was able to steal a few sewing minutes, and I think I've caught up. First I had to sew my fabric together, since I decided to make it with a pieced look.
Then draw out the pattern, etc.
It's not looking so straight ...
I sure hope it turns out! I'm afraid that the interfacing I had was too stiff. But we shall see what I can do with it. Fingers crossed that I can actually sew it together, and it actually turns into a cute pouch!

In celebration of fall, here are some scenes from a 5 year old perspective. (my son is IN LOVE with the camera on my phone!)
Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween, and Happy Wednesday to you! :o)

The costume is adorable and the pouch looks great!! My son is obsessed with taking pictures too - I think he needs a camera of his own!
I love how your son took a tote bag trick or treating - did he fill it?! Love how the pouch looks so far - it's going to be great!
Awww!! Is he cute in that Halloween outfit or what? So nice he could go with his friend. That makes it so much more fun. Your little pouch is turning out very pretty.
I love your pouch so far! I bought a little frame a while back, but not sure where it is. And how cool that you posted your ds's photos. Very apropriate for Halloween.
Aww, your son is very cute, although I'm chuckling about how your real dog is about the same size as him in the pics!
Looking forward to seeing how the pouch turns out :o)
Looks like you did a great job on that Pluto costume. Your son is adorable in it:)
The framed pouch is looking good so far. I'm lagging behind. I think I'll be doing it all in the one night.. LOL!!! Love the Pluto outfit.
Your son is an adorable Pluto! I am also happy to see that I'm not the only one who designs patterns "on the fly." Your framed pouch will turn out beautifully.
Hi Kelli - thank you for your lovely comments on my blog :) Lovely to meet you too! Can't wait to see more of your crafting adventures.
Your son is pretty darn good with the camera! I really like the fabric you have chosen - very pretty.
I love the Pluto outfit. Your son must really enjoy wearing it to trick or treat. Buster in his hot dog costume is so cute..but he did not look too excited to go trick or treat *LOL*.
Your frame pouch is looking great. I am looking forward to see the final touch. :)
Off course its a Pluto costume, even a non disney land visitor such as me knows the difference between Pluto and Goofy, LOL!
Your little one looked fab!
Those boys were adorable trick or treaters!
I love the Pluto costume! and how in the world did you find a hot dog costume big enough for Buster?? I love it!
Hi Kelli
love the purse fabrics and colours. Can't wait to see the finished item
Your little Pluto is adorable! I had to lol-- roflmao actually-- because when my dad treated all of us to a Disney trip 3 years ago, he had 'Pluto Issues'. Every time we saw one he kept calling him Goofy! Dad will be delighted to know he's not the only one, especially since we never let him forget it!
