Pouch-A-Long Stalled.

The pouch was going great..  until I kind of botched up the top.  The all important part... where the FRAME goes on!  I have some ideas of how to fix it, but that may have to be put on hold.

I will be AWOL for a couple of days, as my aunt is in the hospital, quite seriously ill.  My dad and two of his brothers have flown out to see her.  So I don't know when my little pouch will get fixed and finished.  I still have high hopes for it.  I love it so far.

But I don't think I'd use extra heavy pellon again, though.  Plus, I interfaced the outside, instead of the lining.  I love how sturdy the pouch is, but when I sewed the lining and was trying to turn it, it was like trying to turn a wet suit inside out!!

It looks lovely, i love the touch of green....

hope your Aunt is feeling better soon

Oh I love the colors of your pouch!!!! We must revive it. Now, what exactly happened? You interfaced the outside and not the lining...okay that is what I prefer to do. And what exactly happened to the top? We will have to catch up once you can come back refreshed. I will be thinking of your Aunt...

Hope you sort out your pouch, it looks great so far! I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts, take care x

The pouch looks gorgeous, I'm sure you'll work it out! So sorry to hear about your Aunt, sending you good thoughts xxx

Sorry to hear about your aunt.

As for the pouch, I always interface the outer rather than the lining, but yeah, turning out something that's been 'pelloned' is, um, challenging (here's a tip, don't try it with a barrel shaped handbag either - don't ask me how I know lol)

Praying that your aunt gets well soon. Your bag is going to look so cute! Learning to make my own handbags is on my list of to-do's. Just haven't tried it yet.

It's looking good, so far, Kelli. Hope you are able to finish it, as it will be a cute little purse. Thinking of you and your family.

Don't give up, you need to finish as it looks fantastic...I hope your Aunt is OK...

Sometimes when something doesn't work the way we intended it causes us to be even more creative. I am sure you will come up with a wonderful solution! My thoughts are with you and your family.

The pouch is gorgeous so fingers crossed you can finish it without too many dramas. Hope your aunt will be ok. My thoughts are with you.

The pouch is beautiful. The green sets it off perfectly.

This is gonna be one good looking pouch! I bought christmas decoration stuff in those exact same colors just yesterday and I am gonna surprise my mom with it ;-)
