Hooray for Progress!

I'm so excited b/c tomorrow, I am going to Broadway Quilts again.. (on the way to visit the in-laws since A. is on spring break this week).. AND I am going to drop off my Swoon quilt top to be quilted.  I think there's a 6-week wait, but it will be worth it!

I also made a pillow case to drop off in their box of donated goods that they collect for the military.  The shop is very close to Travis AFB, and one of the veteran volunteers comes by the shop on a regular basis and collects whatever is in the box and it goes on the next flight out to the soldiers.  The shop owner told me that while they love quilts, they've been collecting pillow cases also, b/c if a soldier has been burned, often he can't stand a quilt touching him, but they love pillow cases.  Here is the one I made with fabric that I bought on my last visit to the shop.  Hopefully someone is a baseball fan.

I also pieced together this huge beast of a backing for my Swoon. I was drowning in red polka dots!

I finished cutting the white sashing for the RD&M diamond quilt. And couldn't wait to sew a couple together..

And kept having some fun with my Bee blocks.  #2 turned out the right size even. :o) (sigh of relief!)

Here is a little sneak peak of #2:

And #3 is in the planning stage:

This is quite possibly the most I've EVER accomplished in three days time.  I'm not too speedy, unlike some of you I know.. cranking out one spectacular finish after another.  I'm over here in the slow lane. lol

Hope everyone's week is going well.  Buster says hello!
Can't you just hear him? ;o)

Looking forward to doing some blog surfing when we get back on Saturday to see what you've all been up to!  Gonna link up with Lee @ Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday.

Wow you have been super busy!! and I just know #2 is ME! ok so it might not be but I know for sure #3 is Juliet's and it looks awesome!! So does your diamond quilt - cant wait to see the swoon completed. You've been a machine! xx

You are fast - I am slow, but I have too much on my plate at moment. I love all of your projects. Pillows are great we made some for our local children hospital. Soldiers will love yours. Enjoy your trip.

Honey Bunch my head is spinning with all the great finishes, and in process projects you have going on!! You think you're slow?? Oh my goodness, I am taking this Grandmama moniker to a whole new level. I love everything you've made and can't wait to see more. I drop by more often than I comment. I think we all do that!
Blessings and come by for a visit over at my place when you can!
