Friday Night Sew In?
1:13 AM
OOPS!
Between the busyness of the end of the school year, and tee ball practices and games, and doing online CE's to renew my RN license..
And a house guest coming to stay last night, which meant lots of tidying up around the house, and doing some laundry, and making sure there were clean towels and sheets for the guest room..
And tripping over and picking up toys so said house guest wouldn't trip and sustain an injury..
I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT Friday Night Sew-In!!!! :(
Such is the story of life lately.. just trying to keep up. Had a project all lined up to work on too. *sniff* Soon I will get back to my sewing machine. I've hardly had time to blog read lately, either.. I miss it!
I will be back soon with some projects, I promise! In the meantime, hope everyone is having a wonderful May!
I leave you with a photo of my favorite boy.. where he can be found every Tues. afternoon getting stronger and stronger (he grew 3 inches and gained 7 pounds this school year)..
My favorite dog, who tried to jump on and slime our house guest (who wasn't such a "dog person" to start with) with drool, as a welcoming gesture..
And a picture of a little prize I recently ordered myself from Green Fairy Quilts. They are having a 40% off FQ Bundle sale!! How could I resist? I've been drooling over the Fly A Kite line since it came out!
So glad I waited until I could get it for 40% off. That's a big savings! Looking forward to the mail this next week.
Am I the only one who flunked FNSI? *sigh*

You are one busy lady Kelli! Hang in there!
I miss you, Kelli! :) but I've been extremely busy as well. Thanks for sharing those pictures. They brought a big smile on my face. Also, thanks for link to the fabric sales! They have great selections. I might have to pick some up :D
At least you had good intentions!!You sound rushed off your feet - hopefully you can get to some crafting soon!
lovely post Kelli and there is always the next FNSI.xx
I'm having a house full of guests later this week. I've been cleaning all weekend, and I've only finished two rooms so far. Of course, one of those rooms belongs to my oldest, and he's off at college, and just comes home and dumps stuff and hasn't dusted in YEARS. Now I have a place for my mother to sleep, that she can fit into and not sneeze in. Now to put up all my sewing stuff on the first floor (waa!) and clean up all of that.
With all that going on no wonder FNSI got bumped from your memory...there is only so much a person can fit in...enjoy your "prize", after the week that was you deserve it!...hope the coming week is calmer for you.
Hand raised here... totally forgot about FNSI. :-o
Checked the blogs, changed the date on my FNSI button, and was a no-show. But I DID sew!
Next time...
Lovely FQ bundle... plans for them?
Have a wonderful day, Kelli!
Oh, I flunked too! I have a surveyor coming to value my flat tomorrow for a remortgage and I got told on Friday lunchtime, so we've been on a cleaning and minor repairs spree!
You are certainly allowed a night of NON sew in... I may have to come steal that FQ bundle too and bring my slobbery Peanut with me to play with your slobbery guy too. is yours a st bernard? I have a bull mastiff and I didn't think anyone could slobber more than Peanut, but maybe yours can??
Your dog cracks me up! And those are amazing growth stats for your son!
Ummmm....I failed FNSI, too! I've been blog reading but I never saw anything about it. Guess I missed that post. Oh well. I was too tired to sew Friday night anyway. I'm way behind on blogging, too, but I have no excuses!!! Looking forward to your next post :)
You didn't flunk!! Life has a way of getting in the way of our hobbies doesn't it. I hope you have a wonderful visit. There's always next month.
Kelli,
I am drooling over your wonderful fabrics!!! Oops, maybe that isn't the best word~ LOL
I know what you mean about life being so busy you hardly have time to sew. Same here...but I want to get off the merry go round, and sew! Good luck! ♥♥♥
Gorgeous fabric... Haven't done anything in the last wee while either... but life happens, and apparently that's ok :p You'll get there soon no doubt!
And again you scare me. I absolutely promise I did NOT read this post before I did today's at Quilting Hottie Haven. And yet we are bemoaning the same end of year insanity. I promise you it does not get better as they get older. Comforting, I know.
I totally forgot too! Oh well, next time for both of us. I did do some sewing over though - it's been a WHOLE month since I saw at my machine. Good to know you are doing well. Life just gets busy for us doesn't it?
Fun post Kelli, I flunked FNSI too!! Life is racing by at the moment, hugs Wendy
Sometimes life can be so busy that we can't do everything that we want.
I'm sure with a written excuse from Buster and your son, they will understand.
You must still be very busy!
Hi, Kelli. Kids and family in general will run amok of the best laid plans. I've got grandkids visiting and I can't get near my sewing machine...(deep sigh). You just have to enjoy the moment, I guess.
best, nadia
Love your blog mascot. He looks like he takes things in stride.
