A Friday (late Thursday) Finish!
10:46 PM
Well, it is finally done, bound and ready to go to a new home. :o) This little Noah's Ark quilt kit turned out to be the fastest I've ever made a quilt from start to finish.
It's also the first time I machine quilted anything other than straight lines from one side to the other. And I'm so pleased with how it turned out. It has boosted my confidence to keep at the machine quilting and keep trying new things. A few little tucks here and there in the back, but barely noticeable once it was washed. I love how crinkly it is now.
The back..
A better pic of the finished quilting..
Last night and tonight were spent tackling this..
And now it will be on its way to Phoenix Quilts. And hopefully find some little one who lost his things in one of the devastating wildfires this summer, to give comfort to. If you'd like to donate in any way, visit Julie at her Phoenix Quilts blog.
Other things accomplished this week:
* FINALLY mailed all of my bee blocks off!
* Finally mailed off the Mickey Mouse coasters I made for my bro. and SIL. (Disney super-fans)
* Completed last day of swim lessons for the summer.
*found another super fun quilt shop in the Napa Valley area.. this one in Petaluma.. Quilted Angel. This is looking toward the entrance.. I didn't take any toward the back of the rows and rows (and rows!) of fabric. *swoon*
So quaint on the outside..
Well, that is about enough rambling for one night.. going to head over and link up with TGIFF, with guest hostess Erin, of Missy Mac Creations.
Have a great weekend!

Looks great! Thanks for joining tgiff!
Nicely done! I particularly like the cubbies of remnants/scraps up front on that store! I've found some gems over the years :)
Love the quilt! You sure got alot done!
I am ready to sew on a tablecloth but I need to go get some more to put a ruffle on or just buy more and make it alittle bigger. I was asking for alittle more and the lady took my measurements and said I would be good with this and I said I rather have alittle more and said 2 yds would be fine so after $60 it is just a smidgen littler than I like.
Your little quilt is adorable and the child that receives it will just love it. You did a great job on the quilting!
