Fresh Sewing Day~October Recap

Lily's Quilts
Linking up with Lynne over at Lily's Quilts for Fresh Sewing Day, and looking over what went on in the month of October.  I can't believe it's November already!

October was so busy~had lots of fun with my sewing machine and managed to finish a long-time-coming WIP..the SWOON.

Started and finished the Fresh Baby quilt, which I entered into the Blogger's Quilt Festival.  It's my first time to participate, I have always watched from the sidelines. Love to see all of the quilts!

Made my first ever softie or stuffed animal.. a donkey, named Reubenita.

And then made the i~Donkey phone case.

(Donkey craze credited to Donktober @ Missy Mac Creations~head over to see Erin's latest adorable donkey creation)

..and have also been sewing like a mad woman on my Union Jack quilt as part of the Jack Attack at Lily's Quilts (button in side-bar).

It's been named "Jumbo Jack" and the top is done, and the quilting is DONE!!  I just finished it yesterday, all of the little fixes that needed to be fixed are done, and now it's on to the binding. Hopefully just in time for next weekend, when my Welsh bestie moves into her new house.  I'm hoping she loves it!

And just yesterday, I announced a new sponsor--Skye Reve Fabrics, and a giveaway to celebrate..enter here if you'd like.  And earlier in the month had a Pink Chalk Fabrics giveaway. And I can't believe all of these things happened in one month!!!  Along with school things, two helping parent days, a harvest festival to help with, a field trip to a pumpkin patch with 90 kindergartners, a couple of dr. appts, parent teacher conference, my son's birthday, of course trick or treating tonight for Halloween, which involved a fun pizza party with friends, the costume, kids hopped up on candy..on a school night.. Those poor teachers tomorrow. ;)

Come to think of it.. I'm GLAD it's November now.  I hope it's a little less busy! :)

Off to get some much needed sleep.  When I wake up it will be a new month.  A fresh (sewing) day! Yay!

xoxo
