Missing Mojo & Portland Market

Well, the sewing mojo has left the building.. :(  Is anyone else missing theirs, too?  They may have run off together.. not good timing as I need to finish a couple more swap packages.

But in other news, my sonny, of "nincompoop"-spelling fame, is now asking me if he can look online to see if there is a throws him into fits of giggles.  When I tell him no, I don't think so he says to me, "But WHYYYY, (kindergarten-appropriate whiny voice) there is a DOT COM for EVERYTHING, Mommy!!!!" *sigh* Tech savvy kids these days! pfft. ;)

Speaking of said kindergartner, he took this photo the other day with my hub's phone.. he loves and adores taking photos and videos and I like looking through them to see the world from his perspective. Especially if they are of this furry monster that has my heart.

Lucky him to be growing up in the digital age.  All I remember about taking photos as a kid is my mom or dad constantly telling us not to "waste the film".. plus, you didn't want to waste money on developing loads of blurry and dark photos.

Re: the giveaway.. Be sure to come by on March 8th.  I was planning a milestone giveaway, and decided to combine it with the Blog Hop Party with Giveaways (button at the top)~there will be THREE fun prizes up for grabs from each one of my sponsors.  Fun FUN!!! I'm so excited! Hint: one of the giveaway items is something yummy whose name has numbers and letters in it.  Can you guess? :)

Thanks for the input on the possible backing colors for the Rainy Days and Mondays quilt top..  I'm still up in the air about it, but I'm leaning toward one color in particular now, I think.

One more teensy bit of news.. that I can hardly contain myself over.. Beth, of EvaPaige Quilt Designs, is going to have a booth at the Portland Quilt Market in May, and... I get to go and help her out!  Eeeek!  I'm sooo excited. (as in doing 'lame-mom' happy dance excited!) I even debated whether to share on here b/c I don't want to jinx it.

Fingers crossed and knock on wood that I don't contract the shingles or small pox or some other dreaded illness that would keep me from going.  And I've never been to anything like that before, so if you have any tips for me, feel free to share!  I hope I will have time to take pictures and blog from there.  I'll be the one standing there in awe like a deer in headlights. So excited! Can anyone tell me what to expect?

Well, I should probably get some sleep.  It would look really bad if I fell asleep during my son's parent/teacher conference tomorrow. Yikes.

Happy Thursday!

Almost tempted to see if there is a myself... But don't want to go there! Hope your mojo returns. A trip to the fabric store might help;) And quilt market sounds awesome - how cool to get to go!!!

Having just attended a major show for the first time (and for 4-5 days in a row) the best advice I can give is to make sure you have extremely comfortable and supportive shoes! Other than that, I would travel light--I just had keys, cash, creditcard, and ID. Don't be tempted to get one of those bags-with-wheels. They just clog up the aisles. Oh, and start saving $$$ now! There are SOOOO many tempting things.

LOL.... is registered but not really being used. there is a smellypoop dot com.
I guess I am still a boy at heart.

I remember the film camera days well. And waiting for the pictures to be developed was agony.

My sewing mojo just came back after a couple of months of semi hiatus. I hope yours returns soon! Very exciting about working the booth!

I bet that the quilt market will revive your mojo. I just came back from my first. There was SO much to see and learn....and to spend money on. Oh, and as a mother of three boys (now men) everything poop related is apparently funny when you carry the male chromosome.

Your little guy cracks me up! I think I see a poop quilt in your future, Kelli Q!

I remember those film days....actually still have a roll that needs to be developed.

So excited for you to go to Quilt Market - bummed that I won't be able to see you :( Looking forward to the giveaway!!!!

I hope your mojo returns soon - maybe you'll find it at the quilt show? (Wear comfy shoes!)

My mojo is in full swing. Just posted 3 finished quilts yesterday on Kwilty Pleasures. Gotta get more done as my "gardening" mojo will kick in once the spring sunshine shows up!

I think it's actually dirty jokes (

I lost my mojo this summer & it still hasn't come back. Well, it came back for about 30 seconds about a month ago & I made a pillow case... yes, a pillow case. And it sucked the remaining mojo right out of me :(

Here's to mojo all around!

Maybe I should ask my son. I am sure he would know and has probably checked several fun in Portland....I have never been to a quilt show either. So have a blast for me too.

My mojo meandered off at the start of the year, but it found its way home again, so I hope yours does too! I'm now also tempted to check out

Have fun at the quilt show. I might just sign up to the Blog Hop giveaway too, I haven't yet made up my mind about what to give away, but I can assure you it won't be 'poop' :).

Lost Mojo here since October! I think It is slowly creeping back, as I have started looking at my fabric and patterns again. Have fun in Portland and as said before comfy shoes a must!

Happy dance here too. I'll be at Market and will come by to meet you! Remind us again just before what booth you will be at.

Hope you get to jump back in with both feet, but the creative bug ebbs and flows. I think the photo ops of a child are wonderful. You are right, "wasting" film was the # reason to not let a kid have a camera, and children of today's technology are blessed in more ways than they realize ~

That photo of Buster is adorable! He looks like he has the softest muzzle. Congrats on helping at the quilt market. How exciting!

Congrats! You are going to have so much fun! I wonder if I should take advantage of my travel benefits for that show? LOL
