In Progress..

I unfolded this quilt top today, and hung it up to try to figure out what I want to do with it. When I finished putting it together, I was kind of tired of it, and put it away for a while. But it's time to work on it again.

Do you have any quilting suggestions?  I'm thinking straight lines criss-crossing in a diamond pattern like the blocks.

Also still thinking about what to put on the back. I am thinking about a light grey.

I've also been stuffing "Lolita the Owl".  Had to rename her, as she doesn't really look like an "Olive". I really like how she's turning out, and the pattern was so super easy to work with!  I didn't expect her to come together so fast.  I wish I could share more of her now, but she will wait until the blog hop in May. (button up there at the top left)  Here is another sneak peek.

Oh, and for those of you who commented on my bro and SIL's new puppy, Maude the Old English Sheepdog is now a dog with a blog.  I helped my bro make a blog button for her.. and (gasp!) it WORKS!! I used a tutorial over at Between Naps on the Porch.  Give her sweet face a click if you'd like to pay her a visit and follow along as she grows up, telling you all about it. :)  She's such a doll!

Hope you all had a great Easter!

don't "they" say that you should do something curvey if the quilt has many straight lines?
looked like that angel pooped something yellow LOL

The quilt is lovely. Beaquilter is right that "they" say you should used curved line quilting on hard edge type tops. I've done that before and it does turn out well. However, I'm a huge fan of straight line quilting. I am not much help. But I like your top.

No quilting suggestions, I have such a hard time myself, but I love your quilt top!

I would do some straight line echo quilting Kelli

I love the idea of the straight line quilting, but would agree that a simple curving (not too small of a pattern to overwhelm it) would be gorgeous as well.

Oh she's a *hairy* owl, why didn't you say? ;o)

That angel looks positively scandalised about being used as a hiding place, mind you, I might too if I had something like that up my arse!

I think the straight line quilting with criss-crosses is perfect! Do it!

How about a medium sized stipple quilting all over it? What a neat quilt. I'm off to check out Maude's blog. Thanks for sharing.
