Fabric Tuesday on WIP Wednesday just in time for Really Random Thursday
2:11 PM
I guess I'm a day late for Fabric Tuesday, eh? But right on time for WIP Wednesday. Life has been busy busy busy, lately..
On top of trying to find a box big enough to mail the stuff I have at my house for Market to the hotel in PDX (pvc pipes for ladder, buttons, posters, frames, etc.) I dreamed up a project for the Art Gallery Make it Right Challenge using the Right Angles panel.. have you heard about this? Are you planning to join in? I love the colors in the panel, and hope I finish in time to enter. I got started on my project last night, well, I made up the pattern for it over the weekend but started sewing last night. Here's the panel..
You'll have to wait to see my progress on it though, as I don't want to show too many pics of it until it's done. Fingers crossed that it will be done in time for the June 6th deadline.
Have also been practicing my x and + blocks for the Bee I joined (button is in the sidebar) over at A Yankee in Queen Liz's Court. They are to be scrappy and from our stash. :)
I have some larger rhinestone letters to just put the initials on a couple of shirts, EPQD, we'll see how those turn out.. it's just fun to try something new once in a while. I had never tried iron-ons before.
In other news, my MIL quilt is ALL DONE and ready for the blog hop!
And.. this FQ pack (which I got at Tuesday Morning last year for next to NOTHING!) is pressed now and waiting for things to settle down so it can become a quilt that I doodled the design for on some graph paper. Looking forward to a summer of sewing fun. :)
It is Havens Edge by Tina Givens for Free Spirit and is not something that I would generally gravitate to but I'm really glad I found it now.. I'm loving it.
Did I mention that graph paper is my new best friend? What took me so long to get a tablet of graph paper?!
Only two more weeks before Market.. getting so excited!! Not only do I get to meet Beth for the first time, but also a new booth helper, Kathy, a kind quilter that Beth recruited from a local Portland guild.
Off I go to get some work done, hope you're having a great week!
xoxo

Have also been playing with iron on lettering and t-shirts again, in anticipation for Portland Market.
I'm so-so on the pink letters, but I really like the rhinestone shirt.

I can't wait to see what you make with it!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!!!
Great projects! I wish I could go to the PDX market!! I'm just down I-84, in Pendleton... Fun to read other Oregon blogs! Will you be at Sisters? I really hope to go this year! I also used to work in the hospital field, in fact, went to OHSU. Hopped over here from Freshly Pieced, and glad I did!!
I can't wait to see what you do with that panel? I love the colors in it! Love that FQ bundle too! Oh, let's face facts! I love everything you posted about! LOL
Very lovely project. What is quilt market all about? How do you get invited, and is it always in Portland in the Spring?
I'm with you, on countdown to Market. Roadtrip! Woohooo. See you there.
Gosh, Kelli, you're getting a lot done. It exhausts me to just read about all you're doing, much less get it done. I'm amazed and can't wait to hear all about your market day.
You have so much going on! I love those x and + blocks - scrappy looking but beautiful colour choices! Great job!
visiting from really random thursday. you have been doing a lot!!
Lots of great projects, I say go for the sparkly tees :oD
I did realise you were in the bee. Woohoo! I am trying some this weekend!
