New Craftsy Pattern, and Organized Chaos

Tools, Baby!! is now a pattern on Craftsy.  It was lots of fun to do and feels so good to have it finished!

Not much sewing this week, though.. I keep looking at my nephew's Christmas quilt but haven't made any significant progress on it yet..

Because..someone has skin allergies that turned into a pretty bad skin infection this last weekend.  I'm not gonna lie, it was VERY painful on the wallet, but he is a family member, and totally worth it!  He has a sweet face and disposition, even with his giant lamp shade on. :/ My poor boy!

And I'm happy to report he is so much better!  But will be wearing his cone for two more weeks. He actually came in through the doggie door the other day with it on. The one in the door that leads from the garage into the house. Don't ask me how. He was to sleep in the garage for the night, and we left the side door open (from the garage to the backyard) so he could go outside if he needed to. Then, I just heard a ton of racket downstairs at about midnight, and came down to check on him and he was laying in the laundry room like nothin'.  With his giant cone on. ?? How he got it through the doggie door I'll never know.  But I wish I would have seen it!

My parents also flew in this past weekend, and Mr. Sonny turns seven tomorrow.  So not sure I'll get any sewing done in the next few days either. But that's A-OK. I'll get to it when I get to it. :) Fun family time wins out this week!

But, I might get to bring my mom along with me this weekend, and visit the Pacific International Quilt Festival. (And meet Nedra and Pat from ToaR b/c they have a booth there.) Some fun family time AND a quilt show! Fun fun!!  I have never been, but was just reading that there will be over 800 quilts/wearable art on display and over 300 vendors in the Merchant Mall. It will be fun to check it out!

AND..I can't believe my baby is going to be SEVEN! Tomorrow!  **sniff**  I will never forget his tiny hands!  He's such a big boy now.

Happy Wednesday!
xoxo

P.S. In case you want a hard copy of the Tools pattern, it will be on the Triangles on a Roll (I used the 2" finished size for this quilt) website, and also in my Etsy store very soon.

The pupster is actually quite cute in his lampshade. And the little dudes grow up soooo fast! Enjoy him while you can.

OMG, that lampshade it ginormous! Maybe he came in backwards?!

Happy birthday to the wee one :o)

Poor Buster man! I'm glad he's doing better, but the cone on these Newfs does suck! Sherman destroyed my house when he had to wear one!

Happy Birthday to your son! 7 already? Wow! Time goes by so fast!

I'd say your boy has great determination if he can get an e-collar through a doggie door! He probably thought that he should at least be in a comfortable environment if he couldn't be personally comfortable.

You are so busy!! Just want to let you know your quilts arrived for the PNG Babies quilts collective - thank you so much, Kelli - they are beautiful, and will be treasured by those who receive them. We are hoping to send the first shipment off in December, so they will be waiting for my cousin to present them to the native tribes when she arrives in January. I'll be posting photos and acknowledging you on the PNG Quilt collective blog in the next day or two.
Hugs
Gina in Oz.

Happy Birthday to the Little Man.

One of our dogs has been going through a LOT of skin allergy issues for almost a year. The latest thing that our vet suggested was a grain free gluten free diet.

It seems that we might have found the right mix because (knock on wood) she seems to be doing pretty well at the moment.

Good luck!

Oh my gosh…nice to know someone else's dog managed to get through the doggie door with the cone on. My other Golden boy used to do that and it totally cracked me up. One day I came home and he didn't have the cone on his head but he still had the gauze around his neck, the gauze that holds the cone on. What the..? The cone had been totally ripped off stuck in the doggie door.

I hope Buster is better soon!! And Happy birthday to your son!

Hahaha Houdini dog! It would have been worth watching him get the cone through a doggy door. My son turned 7 on Oct 21. They grow up too quick!
