Minecraft Quilt Bonus Blocks: Water Bucket & Potion Bottle
12:00 AM
Happy Monday! :D
It's Monday #28 of Minecraft Mondays, and both of this week's blocks deserve a total shout-out to @little.emerz again! :D Because honestly, I didn't even know these things existed, but when my son saw them, he was dying to have them in his quilt! :) She gave me permission to share them here. So, here goes.
First is the water bucket. I think she did a different version of the water bucket after this one, but this one was A's favorite so this one it is. :)
For the water bucket, you'll need two shades of gray, two shades of blue and some background.
Cutting:
Dark Gray: (2) 2 x 3 1/2"
(3) 2 x 11"
(1) 2 x 10"
Light Gray: (1) 2 x 10"
(1) 3 1/2 x 5"
(1) 2 x 2"
Blue: (1) 2 x 11"
Light Blue: (1) 2 x 11"
(1) 2 x 2"
Background: (1) 2 x 11"
(2) 2 x 3 1/2"
Prep:
a) Stitch your 2 x 10" strips of dark gray and light gray together as shown below, then cut into (1) 3 1/2 x 6 1/2" rectangle and (1) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" square. Set aside.
b) Stitch each of the (3) 2 x 11" strips of dark gray to the dark blue, light blue and background 2 x 11" strips as shown below. Cut each one into (2) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" squares and (2) 2 x 3 1/2" rectangles.
Assembly: Stitch together pieces indicated by small gray arrows first. Then stitch together in order of the numbered arrows.
It's a water bucket! :D

(1) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2"
(1) 3 1/2 x 6 1/2"

d) Stitch 2 x 5 1/2" rectangle of white and 3 1/2 x 5 1/2" rectangle of maroon together as shown below, then cut into (1) 2 x 5" and (1) 3 1/2 x 5" rectangles.
e) Stitch a 2 x 2" square of fuschia and 2 x 2" square of maroon together.
Assembly: Assemble pieces according to small gray arrows first. Then stitch each section (upper, middle and lower) together according to their numbered arrows. Complete block by sewing sections together per the large gray arrows.
And you have a potion bottle! :D
My colors didn't turn out exactly like the diagram, but I just went with what I could find that I had already. :)
That's it for this week's extras. Thanks for dropping by.
Next week will be Wither & Wither Skeleton. :)
