I broke this block into eight parts to make it simpler. (A-H) Always stitch according to the small grey arrows first, then according to the numbered arrows. And be sure to use scant quarter inch seams. Label each section and set aside when done.

**Assemble parts A-H per the diagram below. Then stitch a 2 1/2 x 19 1/2" strip of background fabric to top edge, and a 1 1/2 x 19 1/2" strip of background fabric to bottom edge. Your block should be 19 1/2" square.
Here is my final block:
And the top row, going together!
(I'm not going to put the outside sash borders on yet, I'm going to wait until later when piecing the quilt top together after all of the blocks are done.)

Thanks again for sewing along! :D Don't forget to tag your photos with #pokemonquilt &/or #pokemonfridays, and come find me on instagram @kellifanninquilts. You can also join the sew along FB group if you want to see and/or share your blocks and quilts from this and other sew alongs. (Minecraft & Harry Potter!)
See you in two weeks! I can't wait, we're finally done with the top row, and onto stitching the characters. Eevee!! :D Here's a preview. I'm trying to finish him a little bit early, so I'm not always scrambling at the last minute. It'll be fun to start using some of the other colors!
Happy Stitching and have a great weekend!
