Thanks for popping by for this week five block. And thanks for sewing along! Next week's block, I think will be the most challenging, but at the same time it's only simple clip & flip. Done creatively. ha! So, unit by unit we will make it! It's the Whomping Willow! This is one of my favorites, because it WAS HARD. All the way around. Hard to draw. The scale of it. Making it simple-piecing friendly.. Everything about it was hard, but I really wanted it in the quilt! And in the end, it's still going to be just simple clip and flip, straight seams. ๐๐๐
So I can't wait to see it made up!
Don't forget to tag your blocks with #hpqal2019 and #harrypotterquilt if you post them on social media so we can all see. Also, If you're just joining, there's a sew along facebook group that you can reach by going to my FB page or by clicking here, where you can share photos and encourage each other along. You can also post pics of Minecraft or Pokรฉmon sew along blocks/quilts if you want to share. And check out Kimberly from Fat Quarter Shop, as she live streams, every Friday (Instagram, fb, and youtube I think?), her blocks made up along with other quilty things going on.
Don't forget to go check out which block Lorna is making this week over at Sew Fresh Quilts! See you next weekend, if not sooner, when we'll make the Whomping Willow!
