Harry Potter Quilt: Luna Lovegood

Happy Thursday! I wanted to share another Harry Potter quilt block, extra #8 for the sew along. This time, it's Luna!
Luna has quite a few clip & flip units for the glasses, and 11 colors, but she is broken down into easy, doable sections.
Onward to the cutting!

Part 1:
~Using a 2 1/2 x 4 1/2" rect. of Fabric B (short edge at the top) and a 1 1/2" sq. of Fabric A, make one left upper clip & flip unit.
Left Upper Clip & Flip
1. Place square at upper end or left upper corner of rectangle or larger square, right sides together.
2. Stitch from right upper to left lower corner.
3. Clip, flip & press.
~Assemble as shown below. Label as Part 1 and set aside.
Part 2:
~Using a 3 1/2 x 4 1/2" rect. of Fabric B (long edge at the top) and (2) 1 1/2" sq. of Fabric A, make one double upper corners clip & flip unit. Repeat for total of two of these units.
Double Upper Corners
1. Place a square at the left end or left upper corner of a rectangle or larger square, right sides together.
2. Stitch from right upper to left lower corner.
3. Clip, flip & press.
4. Place a square at the right end or right upper corner of a rectangle or larger square, right sides together.
5. Stitch from left upper corner to right lower corner.
6. Clip, flip & press.
~Assemble as shown below. Label as Part 2 and set aside.
Part 3:
~Using a 1 7/8" sq. of Fabrics B & H, make two half square triangles.
Double Half Square Triangle (HST)
1. Place two squares right sides together.
2. Trace a line from corner to corner.
3. Stitch scant 1/4" from the line on both sides.
4. Cut on the line, separating the two HSTs.
5. Press open.
~Using a 1 1/2 x 2 1/2" rect. of Fabric B (long edge at the top) and (2) 1 1/2" sq. of Fabric C, make one double upper corner (flying geese) unit. Repeat for a total of two of these units.
Double Upper Corners
1. Place a square at the left end or left upper corner of a rectangle or larger square, right sides together.
2. Stitch from right upper to left lower corner.
3. Clip, flip & press.
4. Place a square at the right end or right upper corner of a rectangle or larger square, right sides together.
5. Stitch from left upper corner to right lower corner.
6. Clip, flip & press.
~Using a 1 1/2 x 4 1/2" rect. of Fabric H (long edge at the top), a 1 1/2" sq. of Fabric B (left lower corner) and a 1 1/2" sq. of Fabric C (right upper corner), make one left lower/right upper clip & flip unit.
Left Lower/Right Upper Double
1. Place a square at the left end or lower left corner of a rectangle or larger square, right sides together.
2. Stitch from left upper corner to right lower corner.
3. Clip, flip & press.
4. Place a square at the right end or upper right corner of a rectangle or larger square, right sides together.
5. Stitch from left upper corner to right lower corner.
6. Clip, flip & press.
~Using a 1 1/2 x 4 1/2" rect. of Fabric H (long edge at the top), a 1 1/2" sq. of Fabric C (left upper corner) and a 1 1/2" sq. of Fabric B (right lower corner) make one left upper/right lower clip & flip unit.
Left Upper/Right Lower Double
1. Place a square at the left end or upper left corner of a rectangle or larger square, right sides together.
2. Stitch from right upper corner to left lower corner.
3. Clip, flip & press.
4. Place a square at the right end or lower right corner of a rectangle or larger square, right sides together.
5. Stitch from right upper corner to left lower corner.
6. Clip, flip & press.
~Assemble as shown below. Label as Part 3 and set aside.
Part 4:
~Using a 1 1/2 x 2 1/2" rect. of Fabric H (short edge at the top) and a 1 1/2" sq. of Fabric B, make one left upper corner clip & flip unit.

2. Stitch from right upper to left lower corner.
3. Clip, flip & press.

Block Assembly: Assemble Parts 1-8 as shown below and meet Luna Lovegood! Your block should be 18 1/2" unfinished, 18" when finished in quilt.
