New National Day Quilt Block
6:00 AM
Happy Saturday! I have another block for my National Days scrap quilt to share.. guess what day is is today?
Hint: Remember the old TV ad, "----, it does a body good." Or the ones where everyone had a mustache?
Yep! It's this day. ↡
It's a super simple block to make. Just a couple of clip & flip corners.
Here's my block and how I made it.
Fabric A (background):
(1) 1 x 2 1/2" (>>)
(2) 1 1/2 x 3 1/2" (***)
(1) 1 1/2 x 4 1/2" (****)
(1) 4 1/2" sq.
Fabric B (milk):
(1) 3 1/2" sq.
(1) 4 1/2 x 5 1/2"
Fabric C (glass & bottle):
(2) 1 1/2" sq. (*)
(1) 1 1/2 x 3 1/2" (***)
(1) 2 1/2" sq.
Fabric D (cap):
(1) 1 x 2 1/2" (>>)
1. Place square at upper end or right upper corner of rectangle or larger square, right sides together.
2. Stitch from left upper to right lower corner.
3. Clip, flip & press.
~Using a 1 1/2" sq. of Fabric C & 1 1/2 x 3 1/2" rect. of Fabric A-long edge at the top, make one right upper corner clip & flip unit.
~Repeat using a 1 1/2" sq. of Fabric C & 1 1/2 x 3 1/2" rect. of Fabric A-short edge at the top.

Assemble this nutritious block as shown below using scant quarter inch seams. 🥛🤣

That's it for today. Come on over for a tall glass of milk and cinnamon toast for breakfast!
I'll be back soon with another scrappy National Day block. Stay tuned to see which one.. ha! I'm still trying to work him into an 8" block. He's being difficult. Hint: 🦆💛
Thanks for popping in today! If you're just finding these blocks, you can see the others that are done so far *HERE* with the links to their posts. If you try any of them I'd love to see a pic! Or come find me on IG @kellifanninquilts. Hope you're having a good weekend so far!
Happy Stitching!
