Mother Goose Quilt Block Tutorial
3:22 PM
Happy Thursday! The weeks fly by these days.
I have another block/tutorial for my National Days scrap quilt project today. This time it's Mother Goose. National Mother Goose Day was on May 1st. Here's what my Mother Goose block looks like.
Did you read Mother Goose as a kid? Read them to your kids? We read some of them to our son, out of my hub's old Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes book that my MIL had saved. I found this awesome website with all the Mother Goose info you could imagine --> HERE. There are so many that I didn't realize were Mother Goose.. Itsy Bitsy Spider.. This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home.. I'm a little teapot..
If you have a toddler, show them this.. it's so cute! 😄
So my mother goose block uses six colors, and the usual clip & flip corners.
Here's how she goes together.

As always, if you make any of these blocks or any blocks from the other sew alongs, or any of my patterns, please tag me if you post pics so I can see. I love to see how different people interpret a pattern or block differently. It's so much fun.
You can find me here:
@kellifanninquilts on IG, or *HERE* at my FB page, or in the sew along group on FB *HERE*, where you can see lots of blocks from this and the free Minecraft, Pokemon, and Harry Potter sew alongs. You can also click --> National Days quilt blocks to find links to all of the blocks I'm including in my quilt. That's where I'm keeping them all organized.
Thanks for popping by to check out this goose block. I'll be back soon with another National Days quilt block tutorial. Next up on my list is Lemonade Day.
I'm trying to get some more extra Harry Potter blocks diced up, too, so keep an eye out for those. See you next time!
Happy Stitching!
xoxo

Mother Goose is so lovely!
Loved the whistling kettle on the video...
This is wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
Cool block!!! I must admit, when I read the instructions and saw the dreaded one inch measurement, I let out a huge sigh. This block is so cute, I may have to overcome my dislike of skinny pieces. Thanks for sharing.
I'm a Little Teapot was my favorite song when I was little. I'll be singing it with my grandkids when they come for Christmas.
