Sister Quilt Block Tutorial For National Sisters Day
12:00 AM
Feliz Dia De Las Hermanas! High School Spanish for the win! :) Okay, it isn't *technically* National Sisters Day. It was back on August 1st, when I was in the hospital, so I'm catching up slowly, posting these National Days scrap quilt project tutorials as I can get them done. :)
I don't have sisters, but I have sisters-in-law and friends who are like sisters. 💟 I think this one would make a cute hot pad.. or zip pouch.. or block for a quilt. :)
Here's the recipe for this sister block..

You'll have an 8 1/2" sq. Sister quilt block! (8" finished in quilt.) I hope if you make one you'll email me a pic or tag me on social media, I'd love to see!
It's time for another grid update where I've pasted the blocks I've posted so far into my king size quilt grid. Look how it's filling up! I'm not set on the pink sashing.. Still deciding but I needed to plug in a color. What do you think?
Only 36 spaces left to fill! I can't believe it! Okay, I'm off for now. Be back soon! The next on my list is for Book Lovers Day.
See you then!
Happy Stitching!
xoxo,

P.S. I love to see blocks and quilts that are made with any of my patterns. If you make any and post on social media, please come find me in any of the places listed below, and tag me so I can see! :) If you're on YouTube, check out the short musical video tutorials of some of these blocks. I'm hoping they might inspire kids, or anyone really, to learn to sew. :) Plus, they're just fun to do.
I'm keeping all of these blocks organized on the National Days quilt blocks page *HERE*, if you're looking for any of the other 90 or so blocks I've posted so far. Getting closer to my goal of 144 blocks! If you know someone who loves Minecraft, Pokemon, and or Harry Potter, check out these free sew alongs, too! :) And if you're looking for any of my print patterns, or other fun quilty gifts, check out my Etsy shop here. Be back soon!
xx
